Rocky Mountain Lutheran High School

We are a Christian, accredited high school located on the northeast side of the metro Denver area in Colorado. We provide a Bible-based college prep curriculum, higher than average college entrance scores, a low student-to-teacher ratio, and a five days per week schedule. Also, we are members of the Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA) for sports and other extracurriculars. More information about RMLHS can be found in our viewbook.

We are supported by nineteen Lutheran churches along the Rocky Mountains. Our parent church body is the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS). WELS has operated schools since the 1850s and is one of the largest private educational systems in the United States, including one seminary, two colleges, two prep schools, twenty-four high schools, over three hundred elementary schools, and over four hundred preschools.

Our Mission

The mission of Rocky Mountain Lutheran High School (RMLHS) is to use the Word of God to prepare youth as disciples of Christ by nurturing their spiritual life and developing their intellectual, physical, and social skills for dedicated service to their Savior.

Spring Break (extended)
Spring Break will now begin on Monday, 16 March 2020 and extend through Friday, 27 March 2020. Classes are scheduled to resume on Monday, 30 March 2020.

Classes Resume
With the shutdown brought about in response to the COVID-19 virus, RMLHS will be moving to online classes starting on March 30th. Teachers participated in inservice presentations on using apps from the Google suite and Zoom to present lessons. A daily schedule and explanatory letter has been sent to parents and students to prepare them for this style of education. A "home base" for online classes can be found at We pray that God bless our efforts to teach our students in this online format.

Spring Sports (suspended)
CHSAA has suspended the spring sports seasons including practices until 6 April 2020. This suspension is an effort to address concerns surrounding the on-going decisions with the COVID-19 pandemic. We will keep you updated on the status of our springs seasons.

At this time we are postponing the spring drama production. We will share more information in the future.
